A multitude of chemical applications can be performed using the same process on finishing equipment. the process is a fell dip submersion or variation of treating only a portion of a surface. By applying certain chemistry you can achieve different affects. Those affects, generally, can be achieved in the same process path though different chemistries are applied.

The process is achieved by determining the chemistry required, formulating the proper solution based on how much a material will absorb, adjustment to the pad pressure to ensure chemical solution absorption and the drying and curing of the chemistry.

Whether your need is a standard lightweight backing or a more technical application of a backing we are here to help. We have the ability to apply chemistry in several ways. We have the ability to process directly from formulated mixtures to a substrate or through a foam generator to meter on specific amounts. We have several blade sizes to coat between the pins on our frame or we can coat offline. Here are the types of backings we run:

Backings can be ran using different weights depending on your needs. Typical weights are 0.5, 1.0 and 2.0 OSY add on.

Acrylic Backing – Medium hand backing designed to give fabric stability for bow/bias, anti-fray improvement and for improving seam slippage.

Wall Backing – Industry standard FR backing to pass E84

FR Backing – Variety of FR coatings depending on the substrate being processed.
